Jayson Tatum wears a custom leather jacket from Tim Moore (Wave God) of The World Series Company

Facts:

On May 3, 2022, All-NBA player Jayson Tatum wore a custom leather jacket from Tim Moore of The World Series Company. The relationship was formed through his stylist Vick Michael , who inquired about the custom leather jacket because of the hand painting of Michael Jordan’s Game winning shot in the 1982 NCAA championship game (Sorry Georgetown fans.)

Why Behind the jacket:

I was trying to create something that was inspired by the coolest era in fashion to

Me which is about a 10 year period from ‘96 to about ‘06. Jeff Hamilton is one of my biggest inspirations in this space when it comes to custom leather jackets. I had never seen a NCAA Jeff Hamilton , so for me I felt like I was in the clear and then the key piece to the jacket was the mural on the back ,Which was hand painted. Jayson wearing it put a lot of eyes on me and I was grateful for that 48 hours.

Ideal aesthetic and how to Style:
While anybody can wear this jacket and make it look good, stylistically, a baggier fitting pant, loose fitting leather pant or jean shorts with silver / rhinestone / diamond accessories is ideal. If you wear a blue jean , any of the bulkier Jordans or Nikes will have you turning heads. If you take the leather pants route , the shoes that would work best would be a high Jordan 1, a Jordan 15, a Jordan 19 or a Jordan 8. The reason for those examples are how bulky the shoe is and how the pants will lay over the top of the shoe.
